Master Sergeant Miguel Romero serves as a Military Science Instructor for ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ's Army ROTC program.

Biography

Master Sergeant Romero, a native of Dexter, New Mexico, proudly assumed duties as a Military Science Instructor on 10 August 2023. His journey in the United States Army began in May 2008, and took place in Fort Knox, Kentucky where he graduated as a 19K M1 Abrams Armor Crewman.

Master Sergeant Romero has held numerous leadership positions including Company First Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Recruiter, Tank Commander, Section Sergeant, Squad Leader, and Team Leader. He served in the 4th Brigade 1st Armored Division, 2nd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division, 1st Brigade 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Recruiting Brigade, and 2nd Brigade 1st Armored Division.

Master Sergeant Romero’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, One deployment to Europe in Support of our NATO Partners, and Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield).

Master Sergeant Romero's military education includes Noncommissioned Officer Education System BLC, ALC, SLC, MLC, Army Recruiter Course, O/CT Academy, Instructor Course, and various other professional development courses.

Master Sergeant Romero’s awards and decorations include the Army Recruiter Gold Badge, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and various deployment and campaign ribbons.

Beyond his career, Master Sergeant Romero finds balance and support in his personal life. He is happily married to Kaelauni Lucero, a native of Roswell, NM, and they have four children.
